====== 布里奇顿及其军事要塞 ====== 布里奇顿堪称英国殖民地建筑的典范。除了蛇形的城市布局有别于西班牙及荷兰井字形布局之外，整个城市类似英国乡村城镇，有不少英国式红尖顶的住宅，古老的和新式的建筑物高低参差。市区主要的布劳德大街通向国家英雄广场，广场四周耸立着主要公共建设，其中有两座用珊瑚石建成的新哥德式大楼，一栋是巴议会所在地，另一栋是圣米歇尔教堂。广场一端立有英国海军大将纳尔逊的纪念碑，纪念他率领舰队于1805年6月到达这里。繁华的商业区布罗德大街也在广场附近。 Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison, an outstanding example of British colonial architecture consisting of a well-preserved old town built in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, which testifies to the spread of Great Britain's Atlantic colonial empire. The property also includes a nearby military garrison which consists of numerous historic buildings.
